About Stenor Engineering.
Stenor Engineering Ltd is a small manufacturing company based in the U.K. on the South Shropshire/North Herefordshire/Mid Wales borders.
The company was formed in 2001 by Christopher Wesson, and the main purpose of the business was that of manufacturing and supplying a range of equipment for the maintenance and repair of fire fighting hose to fire fighting authorities in the U.K. and all around the world.
The company also had an involvement in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, under the name of Tough-Tags. This mainly involved encapsulating tags with chips and antennae, also known as transponders, into rubber and plastics for use in harsh environments. This side of the business was phased out a couple of years ago.
The company is equipped with a machining shop, containing CNC lathes and milling machines, so that the majority of the components used in the production of our products, can be manufactured in house.
In May 2007, Christopher Wesson left the company and Stenor Engineering was taken over by Phil Hemming, who was an employee of the company for the previous 6 years.
Phil is an engineer, and since taking over, has put the machining facilities to task, by incorporating another side to the business manufacturing sprockets for motorcycles and machinery using the name Special Sprocket Services.
